नेपोलियन जीवन में सफलता और यश-सम्मान चाहता था। उसे लगा कि साहित्य रचने से ऐसा हो पाना संभव हैं। उसने 8 वर्षों तक लेखन का कार्य किया, पर उसे अपेक्षित परिणाम न मिल सकी। तब उसने अन्य क्षेत्रों में अपना भाग्य आजमाने का निश्चय किया। वह सेना में सैनिक के रूप में भर्ती हुआ और वहाँ अपनी क्षमताओं को बढ़ाने में लग गया। बढ़ते-बढ़ते एक दिन वह देश के एक प्रसिद्ध शासक के रूप में विख्यात हुआ। अपनी क्षमताओं को पहचानने और उनका विकास करने से किसी भी व्यक्ति के द्वारा ऐसी ही प्रगति संम्भव हैं। किसी भी क्षेत्र में असफलता मिलने पर निराशा होकर बैठने से बेहतर है कि अन्य क्षेत्रों में प्रयोग किये जाए। सही क्षेत्र चुनने पर व्यक्ति को को सफलता अवश्य मिलती हैं।
Napoleon wanted success and fame in life.  He felt that it is possible to do this by creating literature. He worked in writing for 8 years, but could not get the desired results.  Then she decided to try her luck in other areas. He enlisted in the army as a soldier and began to increase his abilities there. Growing up one day he became famous as a famous ruler of the country. By recognizing and developing their capabilities, similar progress is possible by any person. It is better to be used in other areas than to sit in despair in case of failure in any area. The person gets success by choosing the right field.

गोपाल कृष्ण गोखले

अध्ययन के दिनों में गोखले को गुजारे के लिए बहुत कम पैसे मिलते थे। उनके एक मात्र भाई ही उनकी सहायता करते थे। एक दिन गोखले का धनी मित्र कही से नाटक के दो टिकट ले आया और उन्हें भी अपने साथ ले गया। दूसरे दिन उसने उनसे टिकट के पैसे माँगे। गोखले को मित्र के इस स्वार्थी व्यवहार पर दुःख भी हुआ और आश्चर्य भी, लेकिन तब भी उन्होंने उससे कुछ न कहते हुए उसे माँगे गए पैसे निकालकर दे दिये। इस आकस्मिक व्यय के कारण आवश्यक खर्चों में कटौती करना ही उनके लिए एकमात्र उपाय था। वे माह के शेष दिनों में  नगरपालिका के लैम्प के प्रकाश में पढ़ते रहे, ताकि लालटेन का तेल बचा सकें। इस तरह संघर्षपूर्ण जीवन जीने के कारण ही वे एक महान क्रांतिकारी बन सके।
During the study days Gokhale used to get very little money to live.  His only brothers assisted him.  One day Gokhale's rich friend brought two drama tickets from Kahi and took them with him.  The next day he asked for ticket money from them. Gokhale was saddened and surprised at this selfish behavior of a friend, but even then he said nothing to him and gave him the money he had asked for. Due to this contingency expenditure, the only remedy was for him to cut the necessary expenses.  He continued to study in the light of the lamp of the municipality for the remaining days of the month so that lantern oil could be saved.  In this way, he was able to become a great revolutionary due to living a struggling life.
