स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के आंदोलनों में कई ऐसे प्रयास किए गए, जिनसे भारतीय लोगों के मन में देश भक्ति का ज्वार उठें और भारतीय जन मानस में कुछ कर गुजरने के लिए तत्पर हो सकें। कई तरह के प्रयासों में से एक प्रयास राष्ट्रवादी लेखन का भी था, जिसके माध्यम से भारतीय लोगों में देशप्रेम की बुनियाद रखी गई। इस स्वतंत्रता की लड़ाई में पुरुषों की जितनी भागीदारी थीं उससे कही ज्यादा भागीदारी भारतीय महिलाओं की थी, अपनी लेखन क्षमता के बल से ही देशभक्ति की भावना को भारत के लोगों में जाग्रत करती रही।
Many such efforts were made in the freedom struggle movements, which would raise the tide of patriotism in the minds of the Indian people and the Indian people could be ready to do something in the psyche. Among the many efforts, one was also that of nationalist writing, through which the foundation of patriotism was laid among the Indian people. The participation of Indian women was much more than the participation of men in this freedom fight, it was through their writing ability that the spirit of patriotism was awakened among the people of India.
उस समय रेडियो और न्यूज़ पेपर के साथ साथ पत्रिकाओं के द्वारा सूचनाओं को प्रसारित किया जा था, जिसे लोग बड़े चाव से पढते थे। अनेक भारतीय महिलाओं के साथ साथ विदेशी महिलाओं ने भी अपनी शानदार लेखन के द्वारा भारतीय समाज को एक राष्ट्र के रूप में संगठित करने में सफलता प्राप्त किया। विदेशी महिलाओं एनी बेसेंट व भागिनी निवेदिता के योगदान को कभी भी कम नहीं किया जा सकता है, क्योंकि ये महिलाएं भारत में सत्य की खोज के लिए आई थी लेकिन यहां की स्थिति देखकर अपना जीवन भारत की सेवा के लिए समर्पित कर दिया।

एनी बेसेंट ने वर्ष 1913 में "कॉमन बिल" नाम का एक पत्रिका निकालकर स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन में अपने आप को झोंक दिया और इसके कुछ ही महीनों बाद उन्होंने "मद्रास स्टैंडर्ड" नाम की एक पत्र को खरीद कर उसका नाम "न्यू इंडिया" रखा। इस पत्र के द्वारा वे स्वाधीनता के जोशीले लेख लिखती थी, जिसके कारण वर्ष 1917 में गिरफ्तार भी किया गया था। वर्ष 1929 में उनके द्वारा "नेशनल कन्वेंशन" नामक एक नए आंदोलन की शुरुआत के साथ साथ शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में उल्लेखनीय कार्य किया गया था।

इसी प्रकार से भगिनी निवेदिता ने भी अपने जीवन को भारत की सेवा के लिए समर्पित कर दिया। वे मूलतः आयरलैंड की निवासी थी और उनका नाम "मार्गरेट नोबुल" था। पवित्र भावना और अच्छे विचारों के कारण स्वामी विवेकानंद ने अपने शिष्य के रूप में स्वीकार किया। उन्होंने ने भारत में आकर, भारत को अपनी कर्मभूमि बना लिया। अपनी लेखन क्षमता के माध्यम से लोगों में नारी शिक्षा, समानता और देशभक्ति की भावनाएं भरने लगी।

These articles raised their voice against the foreign rule in the Indian public. Due to which many tortures were also done by the British Raj. Also had the distinction of being the first female doctor of India.

He lit the torch of revolution through his creative works like "Jhansi Ki Rani", "Rakhi Ki Laj", "Jallianwala", his heat remains intact even today.
